Twinings Ovaltine recognises that palm oil is linked to the livelihoods of thousands of people in South East Asia, but when grown without care, it can seriously damage the environment through deforestation and loss of biodiversity.

We have already reduced the use of palm oil in many of our products by replacing it with more sustainable alternatives. However, palm oil is currently used in a small number of our cocoa and malt based products in some markets, and a tiny percentage can be found in flavours.

Twinings Ovaltine has been sourcing 100% sustainable palm oil since 2013.

Twinings Ovaltine's parent company Associated British Foods plc (ABF) is a member of the Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). We continue to work hard to increase consumption of physical certified material. Twinings Ovaltine has committed by 2020 to buy 100% physically certified palm oil and palm oil derivatives. You can find out more in our latest sustainability report.
